Setting up Neard: MariaDB
MariaDB is not installed in the "neard-basic" version. This can be seen by trying to activate it.
So we will install the latest package for this version of Neard.
So just click on "Download more..." to go directly to the page of compatible MariaDB packages.
Versions of MariaDB available
After downloading the default , simply extract it to the "installation-neard-folder"/bin/mariadb.
The result is:
D:\web\neard
bin
mariadb
mariadb10.4.12
Please exit and restart Neard before activating MariaDB during any release installation.
You can now restart Neard, activate MariaDB and check the version used.
Now that mariaDB is enabled, if you don't need MySQL, you can disable it.
Of course, MySQL and MariaDB can work at the same time. In this case, we will play with the port number (MySQL, port 3306; MariaDB, port 3307)
